Stray Vintage
Vintage Finds, Records, Gifts & Odd Little Treasures
Stray Vintage is a small, well-loved Sunnyside shop on Skillman Avenue specializing in mid-century furnishings, records, unique gifts, oddities, salvaged items, antique goods, trinkets, housewares, clothing, bags, typewriters, and other beautifully specific things you didn’t know you needed until they followed you home.
Owners Tara and Dan Glasser seek out vintage finds from around the region and also feature handmade items from local artists. The shop has a mellow, old-school browsing feel, often with classical music, jazz, ’50s rock, or seasonal music setting the mood.
Best for:
Vintage furniture, records, gifts, housewares, oddities, local artist items, typewriters, décor, one-of-a-kind finds, and “I need a gift but not another candle” emergencies.
Insider tips:
Inventory changes constantly, so it’s worth stopping in often rather than waiting until you “need” something.
If you’re into records, give yourself time to browse and ask for recommendations. Dan is known for knowing his music.
Great place for gifts with actual personality.
Call first if you’re making a special trip, since their Instagram notes Thursday to Sunday, 11–6, and “call first.”
If you’re furnishing a Sunnyside apartment, look here before buying something boring online.
